new japanese tv series
I know not many people in this forum watches japanese series, but I just finished the first episode of this and it's so cool that i just had to share it with someone! The series is called Liar Game. Obviously, the series is based around a lying game, the rules are: - one player vs. one player, but players can feel free to get non-players to help. - each player is given 100,000,000 yen at the beginning, which is $1,058,153 AUD or $864,536 USD, if you're from somewhere else, go look up the conversions yourself. - at the end of the game, you give the 100,000,000 yen back to the game master, if you've mangaed to get money off the other player, that's your reward i.e. your maximum reward is 100,000,000 yen. But if you lost money to the other guy, then you'd have to borrow money to repay the game master, i.e. if you suck, you'd be in 100,000,000 yen debt at the end of the game. - there are no other rules, you can cheat, you can steal, you can rob the other guy, and it's not against the law because you've both agreed to the terms (just don't steal from someone else)If you were a thief, wouldn't you think that's such a cool game? Well... only if you were a good...

Japanese Tv Games Show
Most of the Japanese TV Games Show are quite weird but funny, some are dirty and some are hilarious.I could not imagine how japan people could came out with this kind of idea. You can find it in youtube by simply type Japanese Games Show in the search box. My favourite show is "Dont You Laugh" where participant are shown clips of japanese people trying to speak English and if they laugh they get spanked. What do you think about Japanese TV Games Showare no other rules, you can cheat, you can steal, you can rob the other guy, and it's not against the law because you've both agreed to the terms (just don't steal from someone else)If you were a thief, wouldn't you think that's such a cool game? Well... only if you were a good thief.Anyways, the main character who accidentally joins the game is a very very gullible girl, she can fall for the same trick over and over and over again, e.g. once, someone sent an annoynomous note to her that says 'wait for me at the school entrance after school' (she's a high school girl) and she waited for 5 hrs before she gave up and left, and this has happened multiple times!So,...
anyone ever heard of ponkiki?
It's kinda like sesames street for japanese kids ages 5-9. I used to watch it all the time in hiroshima. I don't know if it's still on, but if you search "gachapin" on youtube a green guy and a furry red guy with googly eyes should comeup.Has anyone ever heard of or watched this?

Obsecure japanese tv shows of the 60's and the basis of my love for sci-fi
Can anyone out there rememeber a show called "Johnny Sokko and His Giant Robot"?For years I have remembered watching a tv show as a child about a Japanese boy with a giant robot that fought the "bad guys". I couldn't remember the name of the show, nor if such a thing really existed or was actually a random flash of memory from my childhood that I couldn't pin point. Tonight I have officially solved the mystery! I was talking with my co-worker Cheryl and we were reminiscing about tv shows that we watched as a children. Oddly enough, as I'm (from across the roomm) looking up "The Mighty Isis" on Youtube.com she asks me if I remembered the show! So I asked her about that show that I couldn't remember and she suggested that I google "Japanese boy and giant robot" and sure enough, there it was! I couldn't believe it! All of these years I finally had an answer to that niggling question that had bugged the back of my mind for years! (Was that a real show or was I nuts!?!?!) Turns out it was real... it was Johnny Sokko and his Giant Robot! Does anyone else remember obsecure tv shows they watched as a kid? I can't believe that I finally found this show after...

"one liter of tears"
In current days, I watched a Japanese TV-play called "one liter of tears" which told us a moving story about a Japanese girl who suffered from an unordinary disease. When she was 15 years old, this disease named as "Friedreich ataxia" caught her. This TV-play showed how the girl's families and friends help her to struggle against the serious illness. I was really moved by the love among human-beings in this TV-play.By the way, this TV-play was adapted from a novel and the novel was adapted from a notebook of a girl who suffered from this disease in real life. So I recommend this TV-play to mylotters. The prime symptom of this disease include easy to fall down, unable to walk naturally. Then inability to control their four limbs of the body, unable to write and speak naturally. Finally, people may die from many complicating diseases. The worst of it is that this disease not affects what people think but what people do. People can not perform rightly according to what they really want to. For these reasons, it's difficult for these patients to communicate with other people. So I hope people can pay more attention to your health and be thoughtful for the patients.
Model Making "Maschinen Krieger"
If you haven't seen these already, you probably haven't, do a goggle search for "Maschinen Krieger" of "SAFS". I've only recently found this but it is a very interesting model making hobby based off of a Japanese TV show and comic from the early 1980's, the models have a very nostalgic feel to them, and the good hand made ones look amazing. I was thinking about making a small one of these for going on top of my computer desk. I was thinking about making something like this http://www.hlj.com/product/YLSAM-012-2 some history about the series can be found here http://roboterkampf.com/html/mak/sf3d.htm please share what you like, and other similar things.
Marriage is to endure hardship with it?
Just saw a Japanese TV. Hero to his girlfriend to marry him, talking about these giant lines: "In the future you want to join me in trouble!" It could be seen that hero of the fiancee to say something like this is a heart full of regret: the marriage will not bring happiness to you, it will only allow you to endure hardship with me. I appreciate this line. Life is suffering. Do not have the knowledge of suffering, there is no moral suffering, the plight of no money, no freedom of suffering, there is no hard feelings, the plight of school knowledge, the hard job of a certain industry, the plight of children, the bitter pain of aging, death bitter. Life itself is suffering. Married to such a life of two people linked to the form itself does not change the essence of life, the essence of life is suffering, marriage can change the appearance of life, forms, can not change the essence of life. Therefore, the time of marriage with each other to say "after you had to endure hardship with me!" Is very true, very true words. This is the case, than "I love you" real. "I love you", you have to marry me? What are the reasons? The implication is that you love...
