myLot Discussions Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior What do you think? I like them alot! Dragon Quest IV, V and VI are coming to DS! Check it out! It's in the latest issue of Nintendo Power. Those should be fun games! Dragon Quest VIII I just finished playing DragonQuest VIII^_^ Weeee... It was a long journey, but it was really worthed. I mean, this game really is one of a kind^_^ The graphics are so great, and oh especially the bgm... And the plot of the game wasn't that really any different from other rpg adventure games but still... It was entertaining. I especially liked using the alchemy pot and creating rare items. Rather than looking for them in the whole map area. The Dragovnian Outfit was cool too^_^ Dragon Quest VIII I recently finished playing DragonQuest VIII, and i think that it was great. From the beginning till the end. A lot of sidequests, and especially I loved the Alchemy Pot.^_^ I often use this rather than buy items, weaponry, armors..etc It's a lot cheaper although it is a bit long waiting for it to finish... do you like play dragon quest xii? yes i do.and you? what is the first manga you've read? Well, I started reading manga at 9.The first manga that I've read is doraemon:) and then came to dragon ball, DRAGON QUEST and so on.Now, im turn 23 and still reading manga and watching anime. I think the age couldnt stop me from this hobbies:) Wii RPG's I bought myself a Wii a while ago. I notice there's all kinds of platformers and random games and very very few RPG's. There's Dragon Quest Swords, Baroque (which is essentially just a port), Tales of Symphonia 2 and maybe one or two others... which is by no means hardcore or in depth, but a good rpg by all means... But there's only a handful actually for the Wii...
There's a whole lot of them that are in the virtual console thing but almost none actually for the Wii. We get way overlooked in our genre. Even Wiiware only has one 'RPG'(final fantasy crystal chronicles: My life as a king) and it's not even a real rpg, it's a sim with some rpg elements.
That stated I'm very happy they made a Fire Emblem for it. Well made a Fire Emblem and then Nintendo had courtesy enough to bring it outside Japan. Hopefully we get a Super Robot Taisen as well, but I doubt that somehow.
They're short changing an entire genre here... What games are coming out and what do you recommend? the Wii is the first Nintendo console I have ever owned I have previously went for Playstations but my PS2 broke just in time to pre-order the Wii and I am glad I went for it now as I am totally addicted to Zelda.Can anyone direct me to where I can get a list of games that are to be released on the Wii this year (and the DS lite if possible).Also what games do you recommend I get, previously my favourite games have been Resident Evil and Tomb Raider and Dragon Quest all on the PS2 so those are the style of games I enjoy.My boyfriend loves Red Steel and like sto play any Samurai or sword fighting games so games similar to those too please.Thanks Best and worst games Yeah, that's it! Of course, I'm the first, right? And, I do have[b]LOTS OF GAMES[/b]. Maybe this helps you to decide which games are good, and which are not.Best games:
- Opoona (a very good RPG, with many things to do)
- Red Steel (very nice first person shooting)
- Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed (very good game, that I don't know which type it is! but it's very nice... it's funny and fun!)
- Super Mario Galaxy (very fun Mario game)
- Alone in the Dark (although the graphics are much lower than the PS3 and Xbox 360's version, the system is the same)
- Soul Calibur Legends (although being the same thing throughout the whole game, it's very fun)
- Super Paper Mario (the graphics are kinda stupid, but the game's very good to play)
- Mario Kart Wii (it's very fun to use the Wii Wheel)
- Resident Evil: the Umbrella Chronicles (2ยบ best first-shooter on Wii)
- Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon (I think it's the best RPG for Wii)
- Dragon Quest Swords: The Masqued Queen and the Tower of the Mirrors... I know there aren't many RPGs on the Wii, but of the ones that are, what do... ...you think is the best? Off the top of my head, I can think of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Dragon Quest, Opoona and Okami. (Although, a couple of those are more adventure games or adventure RPGs.) I don't call Twilight Princess or any other Zelda game an RPG either. Thoughts? 1 2 Next
